DHCFA Member Benefits
Advocacy
DHCFA membership provides exclusive access to expert resources on legislative and government affairs, regulatory, long-term care nursing, education, labor, legal, reimbursement, professional guidance, and special events. DHCFA focuses on our profession locally and nationally and provides up-to-the-minute information.
DHCFA represents members in Delaware and in Washington, D.C., monitoring local and federal issues with the help of AHCA, our lobbyist, and the Board of Directors. One of our greatest strengths is effective advocacy before the legislative and regulatory bodies at the state and federal levels with the support of our membership.
AHCA and NCAL Membership
When you join DHCFA, you become a member of the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living. As the state affiliate to the national association, DHCFA members have the opportunity to influence our profession’s national agenda. Members will receive AHCA’s timely publications, AHCA Notes, Provider Magazine, and Focus, a monthly assisted living newsletter.
AHCA and NCAL work tirelessly at the national level to improve the profession by monitoring legislation, influencing regulations and changes to existing regulations, and improving reimbursement. Through their relationships with CMS, Congress, and the White House, they have made a difference for each and every provider. Additionally, they are a source of professional educational tools created to assist you in developing your staff and improving your delivery of care.
Provider membership is open to licensed skilled nursing and assisted living communities. Communities offering independent living only are invited to join DHCFA as an associate member.
