The American Health Care Association (AHCA) has announced “Tapestry of Life” as the theme for National Skilled Nursing Care Week® (NSNCW) 2025. Delaware Health Care Facilities Association (DHCFA) is the organization’s state affiliate.
The annual national observance celebrates the essential role skilled nursing care centers play in providing safe and effective 24-hour nursing care to millions of individuals each year.
Taking place from Sunday, May 11, through Saturday, May 17, 2025, the 2025 theme, “Tapestry of Life,” highlights the vibrant and meaningful stories that weave together the lives of residents, families, caregivers, and staff. The theme encourages organizations to honor the relationships and moments that create a strong, united tapestry of care and compassion.
“The tapestry of life is a beautiful reflection of the relationships and experiences that define skilled nursing care,” said Cheryl Heiks, DHCFA Executive Director. “This theme honors the dedication of caregivers, the courage of residents, and the important role families and communities play in creating a supportive and compassionate environment.”
Delaware has 47 licensed skilled nursing facilities that serve approximately 14,000 individuals for short-term rehabilitation and long-term stays annually.
