YMCA Delaware Mobilizes Emergency Childcare

The YMCA is mobilizing emergency child care in Northern Delaware at its Bear-Glasgow, Brandywine and Central YMCA locations, and in Southern Delaware at our Sussex YMCA in Rehoboth Beach location to open on Monday, 3/30. As the need increases, they will look at opening other sites.  Essential staff will be able to go to the page, pick the site they would like to utilize for child care, register and pay for the days they need. In order to ensure ease of payment and unplanned work schedule changes, payment will secure the child’s spot for the entire operating day. This will create flexibility and better support in this highly evolving situation.

Basic information is:

• Operating hours will be 6:30am- 6:30pm, Monday-Friday.
• Children ages 5yrs-12yr.
• Parent’s provide all meals- breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner (if applicable)
• Activities will be age-appropriate and camp style.
• Registration must occur prior to accepting children in care.

The Y is launching a website on Wednesday.
